Figure 8.2: Example Language and Network Binding The Network Binding defines how the actual data of a configured service is serialized and bound to a specific network. It can be implemented based on Communication Management configuration (interface definition of the AUTOSAR meta model) either by interpreting a generated service specific recipe or by directly generating the serializing code itself. Currently , Communication Management supports SOME/IP , DDS, IPC (Inter-Process-Communication or any other custom binding), Signal PDU (Signal-Based Network binding) and Signal-Based Static Network binding.
